I dont know why my Netbeans its running slow when started, make my cursor slow too.
Then I know why, its may a Netbeans bug. Netbeans / Java have some speed problems where implementing fonts from the OS manchine.
its simple, try to restore Font & color setting in your nertbeans, then restart.. may its done..,

i wanted to suggest 2GB RAM barely runs any operating system now days

as is configured, system performance guaranteed will be slush,I5 never had any advantage in the over-all usage. if you proportion the right ratio of 2:1 or 4:1 of hardware ram for OS vs video ram for output. that will improve your I5 processor with incredible amount of over-all performance, especially running interpreted developer javabean environment.
